Stockholm Syndrome is a response sometimes seen in an abducted hostage, in which the hostage shows signs of loyalty to the hostage-taker. The syndrome is named after a bank robbery in 1973 in Norway in which the abductees, held for five days, became attached to their captors, not having killed them during their captivity.
