Bush administration, the Internal Revenue Service launched a publicly revealed investigation into a local church of which one of the candidates for President had been a member for twenty years and also began an investigation of the denomination of that church. That kind of precedent could easily carry over to investigations of churches that may have opposed candidates for President, from the pulpit, or supported or opposed other public issues. Where that could lead should cause concern.””
