About Terry Pratchett
Sir Terry Pratchett (1948–2015), whose full name was Terence David John Pratchett, was an English writer and satirist celebrated for his humor. He created the Discworld series, a collection of 41 comic fantasy novels published between 1983 and 2015, with The Colour of Magic among the early titles. In 1990 he co‑wrote the apocalyptic comedy Good Omens with Neil Gaiman. Pratchett received many honors, including the Carnegie Medal, the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize, the Margaret Edwards Award, an honorary doctorate, and he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire before being made a Knight Bachelor. His work remains popular worldwide.
