“Well wtriten. I am a little disappointed seeing as though the two women pictured are already getting work. I could almost understand it coming from female comics who have nothing but sexuality to peddle in lieu of jokes. Frankly, I wish there was a huge line between sexy and comedy as it applies to women. It's hard enough as is it out there for female comics and now we have to be sexually appealing as well and conform to those ever tightening beauty standards. I don't do sexy on stage I am too busy trying to get laughs and it's just a part of my persona. I also like to get respect and I am not desperate for male attention or approval. At the same time I have very low expectations at what people will do for fame or more fame. I am also black, so at present no one is expecting me to look good while telling a joke. I look more like angry or harried or overweight. Phew.”
