About Edward Young
Edward Young was an English poet best known for his blank‑verse series Night‑Thoughts, which reflected his feelings after several personal losses. The work became one of the century’s most popular poems, influencing writers such as Goethe and Edmund Burke. At the close of the 18th century, William Blake created illustrations for Night‑Thoughts.
