““But we shouldn't be like everyone else! Our response to the threats we encounter should be so out of the ordinary that people are amazed. Not that we're not concerned, not even that we're not fearful, but we should react differently to threats from the world because our hope is anchored elsewhere. And that, I believe, is the answer to paralyzing fear, the antidote for fear of the unknown, the alternative to energy-sapping worry. Jesus spells it out in Matthew 6:33. If you want to begin retraining your mind, you have to live out this verse: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (NIV). At this point Jesus isn't just inviting us simply to change our perspective. He's inviting us into a entirely different way of thinking and living. He wants us to make his agenda for the world--his "kingdom"--our first priority.””
