About Louisa May Alcott
She also wrote short stories and poetry, and began writing at an early age thanks to her family's encouragement. Her parents' home introduced her to famous thinkers such as Margaret Fuller, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne and Henry David Thoreau. The Little Women series includes Good Wives (1869), Little Men (1871) and Jo's Boys (1886).
