“I remember growing up and being too afraid to ask questions about things that were in the Bible. In my younger days, and as inquisitive as I was, I would often ask questions to the elders in my church and they would tell me that I was being disrespectful to God and that I was questioning Him. I listened to them and never asked anymore questions. And although I continued to read the bible, I often became confused and eventually stopped reading it, start, and then stop again; because no one was willing to explain the things that I would grow confused about. As I grow in Christ, and I'm departing from religious facts and God's truth, I realize that God loves questions and that He wants me to ask them! God isn't the author of confusion and people who are too afraid to answer questions are comfortable with confusion and too afraid to seek truth. So I'm going to attempt to read the bible in it's entirety again... for the last time.”
