How can biological matter spontaneously develop conscience? That’s like saying I can hurt my refrigerator’s feelings! Conscience is a soul thing—a spiritual thing—and meat doesn’t generate spiritual events. Meat is just meat—it doesn’t feel good or bad—it just sits there and rots once life has departed.
