She rose to fame on Nickelodeon, playing Lola Martinez on the comedy drama series Zoey 101 (2005–2008) and Tori Vega on the sitcom Victorious (2010–2013). For these roles, she won a Bravo Otto, a Kids' Choice Award, and two Young Artist Awards. She also starred in the musical Spectacular!
