About Mary Schiavo
Mary Fackler Schiavo is an American lawyer. She was the Inspector General of the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) from 1990 to 1996. In 1997, Schiavo wrote Flying Blind, Flying Safe, which was critical of the Federal Aviation Administration.
