About Ayn Rand
Ayn Rand (1905–1982) was the pen name of Alice O'Connor, a Russian-American author and philosopher. Beyond her fiction, she is remembered for constructing an entire philosophical framework of her own, which she called Objectivism.
Her body of work includes Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, Anthem, We the Living, and The Virtue of Selfishness. Her writing earned a place in the Prometheus Award Hall of Fame. She was married to Frank O'Connor.
