About Aryeh Neier
Aryeh Neier is an American human rights activist who co-founded Human Rights Watch, served as the inaugural president of George Soros's Open Society Institute philanthropy network from 1993 to 2012, directed the New York Civil Liberties Union from 1964 to 1970, and served as the national executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union from 1970 to 1978.
