About William J. Clinton
William Jefferson Clinton is a former American lawyer and politician who served as the 42nd president of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Before that he was Arkansas’s attorney general from 1977 to 1979 and governor from 1979 to 1981 and again from 1983 to 1992. His centrist "Third Way" philosophy, known as Clintonism, shaped his presidency and later Democratic Party history.
