About William Blake
During his life he was largely unrecognised, but later became a key figure of Romantic‑age poetry and visual art. He called some works his "prophetic works", which critic Northrop Frye later described as a rarely read body of English poetry. Blake lived three years in Felpham and produced a diverse, symbolically rich collection that embraced imagination as "the body of God" or "human existence itself".
