About Primo Levi
Primo Levi was a Jewish Italian chemist, partisan, Holocaust survivor and writer. He is best known for his memoir If This Is a Man about Auschwitz and for The Periodic Table, a 1975 collection of short stories named after chemical elements. Levi also published other books, including collections of essays, poems and a novel. The Royal Institution later called The Periodic Table the best science book ever written.
