About Mary Shelley
Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, an English novelist, wrote the Gothic novel Frankenstein (1818), which is regarded as an early example of science fiction. She also edited and promoted the writings of her husband, Romantic poet and philosopher Percy Bysshe Shelley.
