Men and women of faith have apprehended God’s Word throughout history by prayerfully reading it and seeking to do His will. We must approach the Bible with humility and with an open mind, seeking to leave behind preconceived ideas. The Bible, after all, is “profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17).””
