“When my daughter was almost 2 years old, she had a siezure. It scared the hell out of me to see her eyes rolled in her head and the violent shaking. I thought she was going to die. She is my first and only child. I ran out of the house with her in my arms wrapped in a blanket, tapping on her face trying to keep her concious. We rushed her to the hospital, her father and I. Walking up and down the hallway at the hospital with no shoes on, crying, hair a mess in the dead of winter. But I didn't care at that moment about peoples comments, looks, or stares. I was a woman determined to save the life of my child. When she finally snapped back, I hugged her and sobbed so hard and deep. If someone said jump and how high, to space and beyond the stars for my child always. I will never put anyone above her, except God.”
