Millions of people continue to struggle and suffer, living in poverty within their own countries. When you say we should open borders, how can governments effectively take care of people from other countries when they have not yet managed to care for their own citizens adequately? Open borders are going to lead to higher levels of poverty, corruption, crime, and further strain on already dysfunctional systems.””
