About Oscar de la Renta
Óscar Arístides de la Renta y Fiallo, known professionally as Óscar de la Renta, was a Dominican fashion designer born in Santo Domingo. He trained with Cristóbal Balenciaga and Antonio del Castillo, became internationally known in the 1960s for dressing Jacqueline Kennedy, worked for Lanvin and Balmain, and his eponymous fashion house now has boutiques worldwide with its headquarters on Madison Avenue in Manhattan.
