About Marek Siwiec
Marek Maciej Siwiec is a Polish politician and journalist who served as a member of the Sejm from 1991 to 1997 and as a Member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2014. He was Vice-President of the European Parliament between 2007 and 2009. Within the Chancellery of President Aleksander Kwaśniewski, Siwiec served as Secretary of State from 1996 and as the Head of the National Security Bureau from 1997 to 2004. Since 2025, he has been the Head of the Sejm Chancellery under Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty.
