About Jim Petro
James M. Petro is an American lawyer and politician who was the 46th Ohio Attorney General from 2003 to 2007. A member of the Republican Party, he also served as Ohio State Auditor from 1995 to 2003 and was a candidate for the Republican nomination for governor of Ohio in 2006. Petro was the chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents from 2011 to 2013.
