Erik Dean Prince is an American businessman who previously served as a US Navy SEAL officer. He founded the private military contractor Blackwater and led the company as chief executive officer until 2009. He remained its chairman until the firm was sold to investors in 2010. In 2012 Prince started the private equity firm Frontier Resource Group, where he also held a chairman role.
