About Walter Bagehot
Walter Bagehot was an English journalist, businessman and essayist. He wrote extensively on topics such as government, economics, literature and race. In 1855 he co‑founded the National Review, and he is remembered for his books The English Constitution and Lombard Street: A Description of the Money Market, published in 1873.
