About Theodor Adorno
Theodor W. Adorno was a German philosopher and music critic, and a leading member of the Frankfurt School of critical theory. His work is linked to thinkers like Ernst Bloch, Walter Benjamin, Max Horkheimer, Erich Fromm and Herbert Marcuse, and draws on Freud, Marx and Hegel to critique modern society. He criticized fascism and the culture industry, and his books such as Dialectic of Enlightenment (1947), Minima Moralia (1951) and Negative Dialectics (1966) strongly influenced the European New Left.
