About Russell M. Nelson
Russell Marion Nelson Sr. was an American surgeon who led the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as its seventeenth president from 2018 until 2025. Before that, he served nearly thirty-four years in the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and was its president from 2015 to 2018. As church president, he was regarded as a prophet, seer, and revelator.
