About Robert A. Heinlein
Robert Anson Heinlein was an American science‑fiction writer, engineer and former naval officer. He is often called the "dean of science‑fiction writers" and was a pioneer of hard science‑fiction because he stressed scientific accuracy in his stories. His books praise competence and encourage critical thinking, and many of his plots put characters in provocative situations that question social norms. Heinlein’s work has left a lasting influence on the science‑fiction genre and on modern culture.
