About Louis L'Amour
Louis Dearborn L'Amour was an American novelist and short‑story writer who called his books “frontier stories.” He is best known for Western novels such as the Sackett series, Last of the Breed, Hondo and Shalako, but he also wrote historical fiction, science‑fiction, non‑fiction (Frontier), poetry and short‑story collections. Many of his stories were turned into films, and his books have been reprinted many times. At the time of his death, almost all of his 105 existing works were still in print, and he was described as one of the world’s most popular writers.
