About John Kenneth Galbraith
John Kenneth Galbraith, also called J. K. Galbraith, was a Canadian‑American economist, diplomat, and public official whose books were best‑sellers from the 1950s to the 2000s. He favored post‑Keynesian, institutionalist economics and served as deputy director of the Office of Price Administration during World War II, where he successfully stabilized prices, wages and rents to curb inflation and hoarding.
