About Francis Bacon
Francis Bacon (1561–1626) was an English philosopher and statesman who held the titles of Attorney General and Lord Chancellor under King James I. As the 1st Viscount St Alban, he argued that natural philosophy should be guided by the scientific method, and his writings remained influential throughout the Scientific Revolution.
