About Florence Nightingale
During the Crimean War she managed and trained nurses, organized care for wounded soldiers in Constantinople, and lowered death rates by improving hygiene and living conditions. Her nightly ward rounds earned her the nickname “The Lady with the Lamp” and made her a celebrated Victorian figure.
