About Dr. Dre
He began his music career in 1984 as a member of the World Class Wreckin’ Cru. In 1987 he co‑founded the rap group N.W.A. with Eazy‑E, Ice Cube and Arabian Prince, which released the hit album Straight Outta Compton in 1989 and helped popularize gangsta rap. In the early 1990s Dre was a key figure in creating West Coast G‑funk, a style that uses synthesizers and heavy beats.
