“Hurdles are obstacles on our way, without overcoming which we are unable to move towards our goal. They may be created by our enemies, competitors, or even by friends or well-wishers. What somebody else does to help us may also at times turn out to be hurdles. Such hurdles may stymie us and impede our progress; or make the job costlier; or may also threaten to defeat the very purpose of the project. Owing to them all our efforts may come to naught and we may find ourselves back at square one. It may be due to turn of events, or change of persons or schedule or locale or season; hurdles may surprise us anywhere, at any time.”
