Thruston Ballard Morton was an American politician. A Republican, Morton represented Kentucky's 3rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1947 to 1953 and Kentucky in the U.S. Senate from 1957 to 1968. From 1953 to 1956, Morton was Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs under President Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was later chair of the Republican National Committee from 1959 to 1961.
