About James M. Barrie
Sir James Matthew Barrie, the 1st Baronet, was a Scottish novelist and playwright born and educated in Scotland before moving to London. In London he wrote several successful novels and plays. He befriended the Llewelyn Davies boys, whose stories inspired him to write about a magical boy in Kensington Gardens and later to create the 1904 West End fairy play Peter Pan, featuring an ageless boy and the girl Wendy in the fantasy world of Neverland.
