About Gene Weingarten
Gene Weingarten is an American journalist who wrote the weekly humor column “Below the Beltway” for The Washington Post magazine and syndicated it nationally through September 2021. He and his son Dan also create the comic strip Barney & Clyde, illustrated by David Clark. He is the only two‑time winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing and is known for both serious and humorous work.
