About E. Stanley Jones
His 1925 book The Christ of the Indian Road sold more than a million copies worldwide, and by 2018 his books had reached three million copies sold. Jones is remembered for his interreligious lectures to educated audiences in India. In 1938 Time magazine described him as the world’s greatest Christian missionary. He also wrote many other works and helped start the Christian ashram movement, which combined Christian faith with Indian spiritual practices.
