About David Gilmour
He joined Pink Floyd in 1967, just before founding member Syd Barrett left. By the early 1980s the band was among the best‑selling and most praised acts. After Roger Waters left in 1985, Gilmour led the group and released the albums A Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987), The Division Bell (1994) and The Endless River (2014).
