Daniel Jonathan Stevens is an English actor. He first drew international attention for his role as Matthew Crawley in the ITV period drama series Downton Abbey (2010–2012). He also portrayed and voiced The Beast in Disney's live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast (2017), and starred as David Haller in the Noah Hawley-created FX psychological thriller series Legion (2017–2019), for which he received critical praise for his performance.
