About Alfred Adler
Alfred Adler, an Austrian medical doctor and psychotherapist, founded the school of Individual Psychology. He believed that feeling a sense of belonging and good family relationships were essential, and that birth order shaped personality. Adler introduced the term "inferiority complex" to describe feelings that can drive personal growth. He taught that helping others gives individuals a sense of worth and that each person should be seen as a whole rather than a collection of parts.
