About W. E. B. Du Bois

He was born in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, and grew up in a community that was relatively tolerant and integrated. After earning his doctorate, he taught at Atlanta University and wrote many books and articles. In his later years he lived in Ghana, where he died in Accra on August 27, 1963.
