About Reinhold Niebuhr

Niebuhr also served as a commentator on politics and public affairs and was regarded as a leading public intellectual throughout much of the 20th century. In 1964 he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom. His writings often examined how religion, politics and public policy intersect, and he authored The Nature and Destiny of Man in addition to Moral Man and Immoral Society.
