About J. G. Ballard
James Graham Ballard was an English novelist, short‑story writer, satirist and essayist whose fiction often mixed psychology, technology, sex and mass media. He first gained attention in the New Wave of science fiction with the post‑apocalyptic novel The Drowned World (1962). In 1970 he published the controversial short‑story collection The Atrocity Exhibition, which includes the 1968 story "Why I Want to Fuck Ronald Reagan." He later wrote the novel Crash (1973), a tale about people fascinated by car crashes. His work is known for its provocative and unsettling tone.
