About Edward Hirsch

Edward M. Hirsch has written nine poetry collections, including The Living Fire: New and Selected Poems (2010) and Gabriel: A Poem (2014), a long elegy for his son praised by The New Yorker. He also authored five prose books about poetry. His work on reading poetry became a national bestseller. Hirsch currently leads the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation in New York City.
