About Donald Barthelme

Donald Barthelme Jr. was an American short story writer and novelist known for his postmodernist style. He also worked as a newspaper reporter for the Houston Post, served as managing editor of Location magazine, directed the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston from 1961 to 1962, co‑founded the magazine Fiction, and taught at several universities. He was one of the original founders of the University of Houston Creative Writing Program.
