About Andy Warhol
He was a leading figure in the Pop art movement, creating work that explored advertising, consumerism, mass media, and celebrity culture. His practice included painting, filmmaking, photography, publishing, and performance art, and he used mechanical reproduction to challenge traditional boundaries. He is credited with popularizing the phrase “15 minutes of fame.”
![“[My vision of America is] a good vision. Actually the best is on TV. I wanted to shoot all the pictures off the TV. No one would have known the difference.” quote by Andy Warhol](https://sms4smile.com/q/img-quotes/9a7/andy-warhol-746_america_my-vision-of-america-is-a-good-vision-ac_1341028.jpg)
